New Project – stay tuned

September 28th, 2011 § Leave a Comment

Excited to take on the landscape design for this lovely Mt. Pleasant residence. The home was just finished by Natural Balance Home Builders and utilizes heat recovery ventilation, solar hot water, geo thermal heating/cooling, energy efficient lighting technologies, energy efficient appliances, rain water management systems, low flow plumbing fixtures, and recycled materials. We are excited to work on such an inspiring project.

Stay tuned for updates & finished results.

Summer ends. Autumn arrives.

But let’s hope this warm sunny weather is here for awhile!

With fall comes fall clean ups, bulb planting, composted bark mulch installation, and any remaining planting/transplanting of perennials, trees, and shrubs. Due to this year’s late spring/summer, the Nurseries are full of amazing stock with great sales and selection. Contact us to set up a fall visit in your garden!

Welcome to Cabbage-town {Toronto}

August 16th, 2011 § Leave a Comment

We’re excited to take on a lovely little urban project nestled in Toronto’s historic Cabbage-town. Local legend has it that Cabbagetown is so named because poor Irish and Macedonian immigrant inhabitants from the late nineteenth century could only afford to eat the cabbage they grew themselves, supposedly in their front yards. {Yes, growing your own food never goes out of style!}

Enjoy a few photos from our recent stroll around the area and stay tuned for the finished project update.
